For those who served
A check-in that someone actually sees.
Buddy Check is a daily check-in for veterans that a small circle of real buddies can see — and that tells them the moment someone is struggling. It is not a journal or a chatbot. The check-in is the mechanism; the people who know you are the point.
How a day goes
You pick one of four states. A green or yellow day is just logged. A red or black day raises the people who can help — with the Veterans Crisis Line first, and a direct route to reach you.
What’s inside
Daily check-in
One tap a day. Your status is visible to the buddies you trust, and they are told the moment it turns red.
Your buddies
Connect with people who know you, message them directly, and keep an eye on each other on ordinary days.
Mentorship
Find a veteran a few steps ahead of you — or offer a hand to someone earlier in the transition.
Forums
Spaces to talk through what civilian life throws at you, with people who have been there.
Veteran-owned businesses
Discover and support businesses run by people who served.
Events
Meet-ups, workshops and calls — reasons to show up on a good day so the network is there on a bad one.
Who it’s for
US veterans — with particular weight on those recently separated and transitioning, when the structure and the unit disappear at the same time. A network that only exists for emergencies is empty when one arrives, so Buddy Check is built to be worth opening on an ordinary day.
